I would have to say that some of the stories that I am required to teach from the 7th Grade Anthology of Literature might pale slightly in the presence of &quot;Howard the Duck.&quot; I&#039;m sure my students would find &quot;Howard&quot; more appealing although I think that there is more serious literature available that would be better for my students. The problem is getting them interested in serious reading. I fear they are too accustomed to blowing up tanks and spraying everyone they see with their machine guns on XBox 360 or Playstation.&lt;/p&gt;
